Can You Extend the Travel Duration of Your Shriram Travel Insurance?

YES, you can extend the travel duration (once in the policy year) when –

  1. The original travel insurance plan is still active.
  2. You have made no claim on the original policy.
  3. You submit a declaration of your good health.
  4. Extension in travel duration is more than 180 days.
  5. The total duration including your extension does not exceed 360 days.

Note: You will need to pay the premium for the extension upfront.

What is Not Covered Under Shriram Travel Insurance?

When you choose a travel insurance plan from Shriram General Insurance, you will not get coverage against the following things.

  1. If you are traveling abroad to get a medical treatment
  2. Any breach of law with criminal intent
  3. Abuse of intoxicants or hallucinogens including drugs and alcohol
  4. Self-inflicted injury, suicide or attempted suicide
  5. Pregnancy, childbirth and its complication
  6. HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases
  7. Any willful, malicious or unlawful act
  8. Damage to health  caused by curative measures, radiation, infection, poisoning except where these arise from an accident
  9. Loss due to complete/partial damage of the checked-in baggage
  10. Any checked-in baggage loss in the Republic of India
