Navi Group Travel Insurance Policy Medical Care

The insurer will cover the following medical expenses incurred during the policy term –

  1. In-patient hospitalization expenses: If you sustain an injury/critical illness during the trip, the insurer will cover the following medical expenses – room, boarding and nursing charges, cost of medicines and external medical appliances, ICU Surgical Treatment & Operation Theatre charges, etc. This cover applies to both international and domestic travel.
  2. OPD Expenses (For Domestic Travel Only): The insurer will reimburse the medical expenses incurred for OPD Treatment if recommended by the medical practitioner, provided the same is not related to any pre-existing condition.
  3. Emergency Medical Evacuation: The insurer will pay reasonable and customary charges for the medically necessary transportation and medical treatment rendered during the evacuation.
  4. Repatriation of Mortal Remains: In case you die during the trip due to an injury or illness, the insurer shall cover the transportation expenses of the insured person’s mortal remains.
  5. Dental Treatment: If you suffer a sudden acute pain to one or more Sound Natural Teeth due to an injury or illness during the trip, the same will be covered under this policy
  6. Daily Hospital Cash: The insurer will pay a fixed amount for each day of stay in the hospital for the treatment of an illness/injury.
  7. Physiotherapy: Physiotherapy sessions shall be covered if these are recommended by the treating medical practitioner for the recovery.
  8. Child Guard: If you are traveling with a child below the age of 18 years and hospitalized during the trip, the insurer will cover one Round Trip economy class air ticket to one immediate family member.
  9. Compassionate Visit: The cost of one Round Trip economy class air ticket will be covered by one immediate family member to visit the insured at the hospital.
  10. Emergency Reunion and Resumption of the trip: The insurer will reimburse the cost of one Round Trip economy class air ticket if you have to go back to your home country due to the death or sickness of a family member, damage to the house.
  11. Adventure Sports: If you engage in adventure sports in a non-professional capacity, the insurer shall cover the following – medical expenses, OPD Treatment (Domestic Travel), Emergency Medical Evacuation, Repatriation of Mortal Remains, Accidental Death and Permanent Total Disability.
  12. Pet Care: The insurer shall cover the medical expenses of your pet if you are traveling with one.

Navi Group Travel Insurance Policy Travel Care

You’ll get coverage against the following travel losses during the policy period.

  1. Loss of Passport, Visa: If you lose your passport during the trip, the insurer shall cover the expenses for obtaining a duplicate or fresh passport either overseas or within 30 days upon return to India.
  2. Trip Delay: In case the scheduled departure is delayed due to any unforeseen and unknown major travel event, the insurer will pay a fixed benefit amount as stated in the policy schedule.
  3. Trip Cancellation: The insurer will reimburse the non-refundable expenses related to the common carrier tickets, accommodation, scheduled tour booking/events if the trip is canceled due to serious sickness, injury or death of the insured or his/ her immediate family member, traveling companion or damage to the insured residence.
  4. Trip Curtailment/Interruption: The insurer will reimburse the non-refundable expenses related to the common carrier tickets, accommodation, scheduled tour booking/events if the trip is cut short due to serious sickness, injury or death of the insured or his/ her immediate family member, traveling companion or damage to the insured residence.
  5. Missed Departure/Missed Connection: You’ll receive a fixed benefit amount as stated in the policy schedule in case you missed the flight due to: accident or delayed arrival of the inward flight.
  6. Flight Diversion/Cancellation: A fixed benefit amount shall be paid to you as stated in the policy schedule if your flight is diverted or canceled due to a major travel event.
  7. Hijack: A fixed benefit amount as stated in the policy schedule shall be payable if the fight in which you are traveling has been hijacked and the journey is disrupted.
  8. Baggage Delay (Common Carrier): You’ll receive a fixed benefit amount if your checked-in baggage is delayed for the specific period as stated in the policy schedule.
  9. Baggage Loss (Common Carrier): The insurer will pay you for the cost of replacement of the entire baggage and its contents if your checked-in baggage is lost due to theft or misdirection by a common carrier.
  10. Missed Event: The non-refundable amount related to the event tickets purchased before the inception of the trip will be reimbursed by the insurer if you are unable to attend the event during the trip, due to serious illness/injury or any other reasons.
  11. Fare Lock: The insurer will cover the difference in the fare amount up to the sum insured in case Fare of a Common Carrier increases, provided you have purchased the tickets within the lock-in period.
  12. Fare Dip: The difference in the fare amount shall be reimbursed to you if there is a decrease in the Fare of a Common Carrier, provided you have purchased the tickets within the lock-in period.
  13. Bounced Hotel and Airline Bookings: If you fail to board the aircraft due to overbooking of the flight or check-in on account of overbooking of a hotel in which you have a confirmed a reservation, the insurer will reimburse the reasonable and customary charges incurred towards lodging and booking of flight ticket.

Navi Group Travel Insurance Policy Non – Medical Care

Under this policy, the following non-medical expenses are also covered –

  1. Bail Bond: The insurer will pay the bail bond costs if you are falsely arrested by any government or statutory body or authority during the trip.
  2. Sponsor Protection: If you suffer an accident that results in death or permanent total disability, the insurer will reimburse the tuition fee for your child’s education. However, if the child is eligible to receive any scholarship, the insurer will reimburse the difference between the amount of scholarship and the amount payable under this section.
  3. Study Interruption: The insurer will reimburse tuition fees up to the limit stated in the policy schedule if the insured is hospitalized for more than one consecutive month due to a serious sickness/injury
  4. Personal Liability: If any legal liability arises due to the claim made or associated with settling and defending the claim, the insurer will handle the same.
  5. Building and Content (First loss cover): The insurer will pay for the actual loss or damage to the contents of your home, provided you are on a trip when the damage occurs to your home. The insurer will cover fire, lightning, explosion/ implosion, flood, inundation, storm, cyclone, typhoon, tempest, hurricane, tornado earthquake, burglary and theft under this section.
  6. Emergency cash transfer and advances: The insurer will provide you emergency cash for the following incidents – theft or burglary of luggage or money during the trip.
  7. University Insolvency/Derecognition of University or Course: Actual expenses incurred towards the tickets of Common Carrier or accommodation shall be covered up to 7 days until your return back to India.
  8. Loss of International Driving Licence: If you lose your International Driving License, during an overseas trip, the Insurer will reimburse the cost of obtaining a duplicate or fresh International Driving License.
  9. Loss of Baggage and Personal belongings: The insurer will reimburse the actual loss of baggage and personal belongings up to the limit as specified in the policy schedule.
  10. Loss of identity documents: If you lose your original identity proof documents such as driving license, PAN Card, passport, Aadhar card, Voter Id, the insurer will cover the expenses for obtaining a duplicate/fresh document.
  11. Gadget cover: The insurer shall also cover the expenses if you lose your laptop, tablet, mobile phone during the trip.

Navi Group Travel Insurance Policy Accidental Care

You’ll get financial protection against the consequences of accident under this policy

  1. Accidental Death & Permanent Total Disability (including Felonious Assault): If you sustain an injury due to an accident or suffer from a felonious assault during your trip, the insurer will pay a percentage of the sum insured as specified in the policy schedule.
  2. Accidental Death & Permanent Total Disability (Common Carrier): During the trip, if you suffer an injury due to an accident of a Common Carrier, the insurer will pay a percentage of the sum insured as stated in the policy schedule.
  3. Accidental Permanent Partial Disability: If you suffer an injury due to an accident during the trip and it results in permanent partial disability, the insurer will pay the sum insured as stated in the policy schedule.
  4. Accidental Temporary Total Disability: If due to an accidental injury you are not able to attend the office/work for more than 7 consecutive days, the insurer will pay a weekly benefit as stated in the policy schedule.
  5. Child Tuition Benefit: A one-time amount as stated in the policy schedule shall be payable to the dependent children whether the child is insured or not, provided the insurer has accepted a claim in respect of accidental death or permanent total disability.
  6. Mobility Aids Allowance: If you have made a disability claim under, the insurer will reimburse the charges incurred for medically necessary prosthetic devices up to the amount as stated in the policy schedule, provided the same is recommended by the treating medical practitioner
