Personal Accident Cover

While traveling in India, if you meet with an accident (during the insurance period) that results in death, permanent total or partial disablement, the policy provides coverage up to INR 25,00,000. You will get coverage against accidental hospitalization up to INR 20,00,000 during your policy period.

Loss of Checked-in Baggage

If you lose your checked-in baggage on your trip, Shubh Yatra Plan will cover the cost of replacing/reinstating the entire baggage and its contents up to INR 15,000. For one item within one piece of baggage, the coverage amount will be up to 10% of the sum insured.

Bounced Hotel and Flight

If a confirmed flight reservation or accommodation (being part of the trip) is bounced, the policy will reimburse (up to INR 20,000) the actual additional expenses or cost incurred by the insurer for alternative travel arrangements or accommodation.

Adventure Sports 

The Vacation Plan will come into play if an insured person faces accidental death, permanent total disability, medical evacuation due to adventure sports.

Home Insurance Cover

In case of burglary and fire in your home, while you are on the trip, the policy will cover up to INR 5,00,000 during the insurance period.

What is the Minimum Premium Amount?

The premium amount for the plan depends on several factors – Plan, sum insured and the policy period option. The minimum premium amount stands at INR 64 for the Business Plan (Without Assistance Services) with a policy period of 1-7 days (Single Trip).

Future Generali Shubh Yatra Plan Eligibility Criteria

  1. Minimum Age at Entry – 1 Day
  2. Maximum Age at Entry – 70 years
  3. Maximum Entry Age for Dependent Children – 25 years

Note: Family will include self, spouse, dependent children and dependent parents. All of them can get coverage in a single policy on an individual sum insured basis.

What is Not Covered Under the Plan?

Policyholders will not get coverage under the plan in the following situations.

  1. Accident when the insured person is at his/her home
  2. Existing disablement before the inception of the policy
  3. Intentional self-Injury (including but not limited to the use or misuse of any intoxicating drugs or alcohol)
  4. Accident under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  5. Participation in an actual or attempted felony, riot, crime, misdemeanor or civil commotion
  6. Pregnancy and childbirth, miscarriage, abortion or complications arising out of any of these
  7. War, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, commotion unrest, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation or nationalization or requisition of or damage or under the order of any government or public authority
  8. When engaging in a hazardous activity
  9. Participation in adventure sports. However, this exclusion will not apply to accidental death, permanent total disablement, medical evacuation, or repatriation of mortal remains arising due to adventure sports in the vacation plan
  10. Expenses incurred on unproven or experimental treatment
  11. Any claim relating to events occurring before the commencement or after the completion of the policy period
  12. Claims related to the event after the maximum duration of the trip
