Do I Need to Undergo Pre-Acceptance Medical Tests?

Individuals aged up to 70 years don’t need to undergo medical tests before choosing this plan if there are no adverse health declarations made in the policy proposal form. For people aged between 71 to 80 years, Future Generali asks for medical tests. However, for the Worldwide Select Travel Plan, no medical test is required.

Note: Medical test reports remain valid for 30 days after they are conducted.

Future Generali Overseas Travel Insurance Eligibility Criteria

  1. For individual and multi-trip policies, the entry age for adults ranges between 18 to 70 years.
  2. Only for the Asia Travel Family Floater Plan, the entry age ranges from 18 to 65 years.
  3. For children, the entry age can be as low as 6 months up to 25 years.
  4. The minimum entry age for senior citizens stands at 71 years and can go up to 80 years.

What is Not Covered Under the Plan?

The Overseas Travel Insurance Plan from Future Generali will not provide coverage in the following situations.

  1. Pre-existing diseases & complications arising from them
  2. Routine physical or other examination where there is no objective indication of impairment of normal health and medical expenses beyond the expiry of the policy period
  3. Self-inflicted injuries or illnesses (Suicide, attempt to suicide or willfully self-inflicted injury or illness, mental disorder, anxiety, stress or depression, venereal disease, etc.)
  4. Alcoholism, drunkenness, abuse of drugs, HIV, or AIDS
  5. Pregnancy or related complications (Resulting childbirth, miscarriage, abortion or complication arising out of any of the foregoing)
  6. Loss or damage to the insured’s passport (As a result of the confiscation or detention by customs, police or any other authority)
  7. A loss not reported to appropriate police authority within 24 hours of the discovery of loss & warlike actions
  8. Immunization and obesity-related treatments
  9. Rehabilitation and physiotherapy or the costs of external prosthesis/device
  10. Elective, Cosmetic or Plastic Surgery
  11. Dental Treatment
