Aviva Life Insurance Premium Payment Online Services

You can pay your premiums online by following the steps shown below:

  1. Visit Aviva Life Insurance official website
  2. Log in to your account using your mobile number/email Id and password
  3. Click on the ‘Pay Premium’ button
  4. Enter your proposal number, customer name, email ID, date of birth, mobile number and total payable amount.
  5. Agree to the terms and conditions and click on the ‘Pay Now’ button

A convenience fee will be charged in case you do Aviva Life Insurance premium payment using a credit card (VISA/MASTER/AMEX/DINERS/RUPAY etc.). Check out the convenience fee charged on your premium amount.

Aviva Life Insurance Auto-Debit Facility

You can set Aviva Life Insurance premium payment on auto-debit by submitting a duly filled NACH mandate at any of the Aviva Life branch offices.

Things to Know Before Paying Aviva Life Insurance Premium

  1. In case you receive a message of transaction failure, wait for 2-3 working days before re-attempting the payment. The debited amount will either be credited to your policy or reversed back to the source of payment after receiving confirmation from your bank.
  2. If payments are made after 3:00 p.m., the premium payment receipt shall be available to you the next day.
  3. Advance premium can be accepted if the due date is within the financial year or 3 months in advance if the due date falls in the next financial year.
  4. Service tax, GST or any other applicable taxes will be charged on your premium amount as per the prevailing rate
  5. International credit/debit cards issued by banks outside India are not accepted for payments
  6. Premium paid in advance will be updated in the policy on due date only

Aviva Life Insurance Modal Factor

The modal factor for Aviva Life Insurance is as follows:

  1. Yearly – 1.0000
  2. Half-Yearly – 0.5108 respectively

Alterations between yearly and. half-yearly modes of premium payment are allowed at policy anniversary only, subject to payment of alteration charge i.e. INR 100

What if Aviva Life Insurance Premium is not Paid?

If regular premiums for Aviva Life Insurance are not paid within the due date, you’ll get a grace period of 30/15 days from the due date of premium. In case you fail to pay the premium within the grace period, your policy will lapse and the life cover will cease immediately.

Your lapsed policy can be reinstated within two years from the date of the first unpaid premium. But that period should be within the policy term. To reinstate your policy, you need to provide proof of continued insurability and pay a revival fee along with all due premiums. The revival fee is INR 250 which is reviewable subject to the approval of the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
