Apart from knowing United India General Insurance Network Hospitals in Delhi, you should also know how to file a cashless claim at these hospitals for a hassle-free experience upon hospitalization. We are showing the steps to file the same below.
Step 1: You will need to inform the TPA in advance with the name and address of the chosen network hospital in case of planned hospitalization. Intimate your TPA immediately in case of emergency hospitalization.
Step 2: Subsequently, the network hospital will send a pre-authorization cashless request to the Third-party Administrator (TPA). The insured person and hospital authorities will need to sign the request form with the details of admission, illness, proposed line of treatment and estimate of the treatment expenses.
Step 3: After checking all the details, United India General Insurance will approve your claim accordingly. Do remember you will need to pay the difference of bill amount (disallowed under your health insurance policy) if any.
Note: You can file a claim for pre and post-hospitalization expenses separately once your treatment is over. For this, you will need to submit the original documents within seven days of discharge to the TPA.
You can consider treatment at a non-network hospital in such a case. Here, pay the expenses upfront and file a reimbursement claim after getting discharged. To do the same, you will need to follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Intimate your hospitalization to the TPA or United India Office (if non-TPA) immediately and within 24 hours of emergency admission.
Step 2: You will need to get the original discharge summary, copy of the investigation report, and other necessary documents from the hospital authorities upon discharge. Within seven days of your discharge, submit the following documents in original to the TPA or office.
