Cashless Claims Procedure at Tata AIG Network Hospitals in Mumbai

To receive cashless treatment at the network hospital, follow the steps shown below.

For Planned Hospitalization

  1. Notify the insurer about the hospitalization by submitting the duly filled cashless claim form to the insurer via email or letter at least five days before the treatment.
  2. On approval, you will receive a confirmation letter from the insurer
  3. Submit the confirmation letter and your health ID card to the hospital  on the day of admission

Note: The confirmation letter for cashless treatment is valid for seven days from the date of its issuance.

For Emergency Hospitalization

  1. Notify the insurer within 24 hours of the hospitalization
  2. After that, the insurer will generate a Claim Intimation/Reference Number
  3. Submit the insurance card, policy copy, ID and address proof. If the claim amount is above INR 1 Lakh, you need to submit the duly filled KYC form as well.
  4. The network hospital will submit the cashless claim request form to the insurance company
  5. The insurer will send an authorization letter to the hospital, so you can receive cashless medical treatment.

Note: The company/TPA reserves the right to reject pre-authorization if you don’t provide the relevant medical details. In case the company rejects pre-authorization, it will notify you through a letter, SMS or on the registered mobile number and mail on the registered email ID.

What if the Tata AIG Network Hospital is Far Away?

In such a situation, receive treatment at the non-network hospital, pay your bills and, on discharge, apply for reimbursement by submitting the following documents to the insurer:

  1. Duly filled and signed claim form
  2. Insurance card or copy of the policy document
  3. A medical certificate signed by the attending doctor
  4. Original bills, receipts, pharmacy bills and investigation reports (if any) and pathological reports such as X-ray reports
  5. Hospital discharge card
  6. Copy of the FIR / MLC (in case of an accidental claim)
  7. NEFT details
  8. Duly filled KYC Form in case the claim amount exceeds INR 1 Lakh

Note: The reimbursement process would take at least 21 days from the date the documents are received by the TPA.
