Cashless Claims Process at Tata AIG Network Hospitals in Hyderabad

You can get treatment at the network hospital and avail of the cashless facility, which is subject to pre-authorization by the company/TPA. You can obtain the cashless request form at the network hospital. When the company/TPA receives the cashless request form and the medical information from the insured person/network provider, it will issue a pre-authorization letter to the hospital. At the time of discharge, you need to verify and sign the discharge papers and pay the non-medical and inadmissible expenses. Check out the below procedures for a cashless claim based on the type of hospitalization.

For Planned Hospitalization

If you have a scheduled treatment or surgery, follow the steps shown below to receive cashless medical treatment at the Tata AIG Network Hospital in Hyderabad:

  1. Inform the insurer about the hospitalization
  2. Submit the cashless claim form through email or letter at least five days before the treatment.
  3. Once the cashless claim is approved, you will receive a confirmation letter, which is valid for seven days from the date of issuance
  4. Submit the confirmation letter and health ID card on the day of admission to the hospital

For Emergency Hospitalization

In case of an accident or an emergency hospitalization, follow the steps shown below to receive cashless medical treatment at the Tata AIG Network Hospital in Hyderabad:

  1. Inform the insurer within 24 hours of hospitalization
  2. The insurance company will generate a Claim Intimation/Reference Number
  3. Submit the insurance card, policy copy, ID and Address Proof and a duly filled KYC form (if the claim amount is above INR 1 Lakh)
  4. After that, the hospital will submit the cashless claim request form to the insurance company
  5. The insurer will issue an authorization letter to the hospital

Note: The company/TPA reserves the right to reject the pre-authorization if you are unable to provide the relevant medical details. In case of rejection, you will be notified about the same through a letter, SMS on the registered mobile number and mail on the registered email ID.

What if Tata AIG Network Hospitals are Not Far Away from Your Home or Office?

In that case, you can go for treatment at some other hospital, pay for the expenses and file a reimbursement claim by submitting the following documents to the insurer after discharge.

  1. Duly filled and signed claim form
  2. Insurance card or copy of the policy document
  3. A medical certificate signed by the doctor
  4. Pathological reports like X-ray reports
  5. Hospital discharge card
  6. Original bills, receipts, pharmacy bills and investigation report (if any)
  7. Copy of the FIR / MLC (in case of an accidental claim)
  8. NEFT details
  9. Duly filled KYC Form if the claim amount is more than INR 1 Lakh

Note: The payment process would take about 21 days from the date the documents are received by the TPA.
