How to Get Cashless Claims at the Tata AIG Network Hospital in Chennai?

To receive cashless treatment at the network hospital, you need to follow the below procedure.

For Planned Hospitalization

  1. Intimate the insurer about the hospitalization five days before the treatment by sending a duly filled cashless claim form
  2. If you receive a confirmation letter, you can get cashless medical treatment at the network hospital
  3. After that, submit the confirmation letter and your health ID card to the hospital on the day of your admission

Note: The confirmation letter is valid for seven days from the date of its issuance.

For Emergency Hospitalization

  1. Intimate the insurer about the hospitalization within 24 hours
  2. The insurer will generate a Claim Intimation/Reference Number
  3. Submit the insurance card, policy copy, ID and address proof and duly filled KYC form (If the claim amount is above INR 1 Lakh)
  4. After that, the hospital will submit the cashless claim request form to the company
  5. The insurer issues an authorization letter to the hospital, so you can receive cashless medical treatment without any hassle.

Note: The company/TPA can reject a pre-authorization request if you are unable to provide the relevant medical details. If the insurer rejects your pre-authorization request, you will get notified through a letter, SMS or on the registered mobile number and mail on the registered email ID.

What if the Tata AIG Network Hospital isn’t Near You?

In such a case, you can apply for reimbursement by submitting the following documents to the insurer:

  1. Duly filled and signed claim form
  2. Hospital discharge card
  3. Insurance card or copy of the policy document
  4. A medical certificate signed by the attending doctor
  5. Original bills, receipts, pharmacy bills and investigation reports (if any) and pathological reports such as X-ray reports
  6. Copy of the FIR / MLC (in case of an accidental claim)
  7. NEFT details
  8. Duly filled KYC Form in case the claim amount exceeds INR 1 Lakh

Note: The reimbursement process takes about 21 days from the date the TPA receives your documents.
