Star Health Network Hospitals Cashless Claim Procedure

If you visit any of the Star Health network hospitals in Kolkata for cashless medical treatment under your insurance policy, you need to follow the steps shown below:

1. Approach the insurance desk at the network hospital
2. Notify the insurer about the hospitalization by calling the toll-free number 1800 425 2255/1800 102 4477 or email at support@starhealth.in
3. Show your Star Health ID card for identity verification
4. Submit the pre-admission investigation and the medical practitioner’s consultation papers at the network hospital

When you follow the above procedure, your claim request will be processed as follows –

1. The network hospital will verify your documents and submit them to the insurer along with the duly filled pre-authorization form
2. Subsequently, the Star Health-empanelled doctors will verify the submitted documents before processing the claim
3. If required, an assigned field doctor may visit the patient at the Star Health network hospitals in Kolkata to check the current condition.
4. After discharge, the network hospital will send the required claim documents and payment receipts to the insurance company’s branch office
5. The insurer will verify the received documents and pay the claim amount directly to the hospital

What if Your Cashless Claim is Rejected by the Insurer?
