You can get cashless treatment by following the steps shown below –

• Notify about the hospitalization by calling the customer care number
• Show your health card at the network hospital
• Submit the pre-admission investigation and doctor’s consultation report at the hospital
• The hospital will verify your documents and send a pre-authorization form to the insurer
• Star Health Insurance doctors will verify the received documents and approve the claim accordingly
• The insurer may also send an assigned doctor to visit the network hospital to check on your condition
• On your discharge from the hospital, the hospital will send all the necessary documents related to the treatment of your illness or injury to the insurer
• The insurer checks the received documents and settles the claim amount directly with the hospital

Note – You need to pay all the non-payable expenses incurred during the stay in a hospital from your pocket.

Cashless Claim Procedure For Planned Hospitalization

In case of a scheduled medical treatment at the Star Health network hospital in Coimbatore, contact the insurer before the date of admission by calling the toll-free helpline number. The hospital will send a duly filled pre-authorization form to the insurer through the hospital portal or Fax at 1800 425 5522 or email it to – cashless.network@starhealth.in

Cashless Claim Procedure For Emergency Hospitalization

In case of emergency hospitalization for an accident or sudden diagnosis of an illness, you need to follow the below-mentioned cashless claim process –

• Admit to the Star Health network hospital in Coimbatore by showing your health card
• After that, notify the insurer about the hospitalization
• The network hospital will contact the insurer
• Star Health customer care will verify your policy validity and coverage and later sends a field visit doctor to visit you at the hospital if required

Note: Star Health Insurance medical team processes the cashless claim request as per the terms and conditions of the policy.

What If the Star Health Network Hospital is Far Away?

In such a case, you can be admitted to any non-network hospital and apply for a reimbursement claim by following the below-mentioned steps.

• Notify the insurer within 24 hours of the hospitalization
• Pay all your hospital bills and collect the hospital documents and payment receipts
• Now, submit the duly filled claim form, discharge summary, payment receipts, etc. to the insurer within 15 days from the date of discharge
• After the approval of reimbursement, Star Health Insurance will transfer the approved claim amount directly to your linked bank account
