To receive cashless treatment at the above hospitals of Star Health, go through the steps shown below –

• Notify the insurer about the hospitalization by calling the toll-free number
• Visit the hospital and show your health card at the reception
• Submit pre-admission investigation and doctor’s consultation report at the hospital, if any
• The hospital will review the documents and send them with the duly filled pre-authorization form to the insurer
• The company’s doctors will verify the received documents and approve the claim accordingly
• An assigned doctor from Star Health Insurance shall also visit you at the network hospital to check your condition
• Upon your discharge, the hospital will send all the necessary documents related to your illness or injury to the insurer
• The insurer reviews the received documents and settles the claim directly with the hospital

Note – You need to pay all the non-payable expenses from your pocket before your discharge from the hospital.

Procedure to File a Cashless Claim Procedure for Planned Hospitalization

In case of your emergency hospitalization due to an accident or sudden diagnosis of an illness, follow the below-mentioned steps to seek a cashless claim –

• Notify the insurer about the hospitalization
• Upon receiving intimation, customer care will verify the validity and coverage of your health insurance
• Later, the company sends a field visit doctor to visit you at the network hospital if required

What to do if the Star Health Insurance Network Hospital is Far Away from You?

In such a case, you can visit any non-network hospital nearby and receive treatment there. On discharge, pay the bills and collect the necessary documents. Later, apply for a reimbursement claim by following the below steps.

• Notify the insurer about the hospitalization within 24 hours of admission
• Submit the duly filled claim form, discharge summary, payment receipts, etc. to the insurer within 15 days of your discharge
• After the approval of the reimbursement claim, Star Health Insurance will transfer the amount directly to your linked bank account.
