How to Apply for a Cashless Claim at the Royal Sundaram Network Hospital?

If you want to receive cashless treatment at the above hospitals, you need to go through the below steps –

  • Call the TPA helpline number and notify about the claim within 24 hours of emergency hospitalization and 72 hours before a planned admission.
  • Submit the duly filled claim form to the TPA
  • Upon receiving the claim documents, the TPA will review the same and send a pre-authorization letter to the hospital on successful approval

Note – In case of insufficient document submission, the TPA shall communicate its decision within three hours of receiving the claim documents.

How to File a Claim if the Royal Sundaram Network Hospital isn’t Nearby?

In such a case, you have the option to receive treatment at a non-network hospital. If you go there, you need to pay your bills and collect the necessary documents from the hospital. To apply for a reimbursement claim, follow the steps shown below –

  • Notify the insurer about hospitalization within 24 hours of emergency admission and 48 hours before a planned admission
  • While initiating the claim, provide the following details – the name of the patient, diagnosis of the illness/injury, hospital and treating doctor details, date of hospitalization and expected discharge

What Documents Do You Need For a Reimbursement Claim?

Reimbursement, as the name suggests, is the process of getting back the expenses made towards treatment. The insurance company disburses the sum after you submit the following within 30 days of your discharge.

  • Test reports and prescriptions
  • Hospital receipts, bills, cash memos
  • Copy of the policy document
  • Case history or admission/discharge summary
  • Death summary and legal heir certificate in case of death
  • First Information Report (FIR) or Medical Legal Certificate (MLC) in case of an accidental injury

Note – Upon successful approval, the insurer sends a settlement letter within 30 days of receiving the above documents. And if there is any discrepancy in the documents, the insurer sends the deficiency letter within 7 days of receiving the above documents.
