How to Apply for a Cashless Claim at Royal Sundaram Network Hospitals?

You can receive cashless treatment at the above Royal Sundaram Network Hospital List in Mumbai by getting approval from the Third Party Administrator (TPA). To do the same, follow the steps shown below –

  • Intimate the TPA about the claim within 24 hours of emergency admission and 72 before a planned hospitalization.
  • Collect the ‘Pre-authorization Form’ from the insurance help desk
    Fill in details like – diagnosis of the illness, name of the hospital, duration of stay in the hospital, estimated expenses of hospitalization, etc., and submit the form to the TPA by fax or email.
  • The TPA will verify your details and send a cashless authorization letter to the hospital within 3 hours of receiving the documents. The TPA may ask you to provide additional information or medical records if required. In case of insufficient document submission, the TPA will inform the hospital within 4 hours of receiving the documents.

Note – You need to pay the non-medical expenses if they are not covered under the policy. If the ailment/treatment is not covered under the policy, the TPA will send a rejection letter to the hospital within 2 hours of receiving the documents.

How to Apply for a Claim if the Royal Sundaram Network Hospital isn’t Near You?

In that case, you have the option to receive treatment at a non-network hospital. Once you’re discharged from the hospital, pay your bills and collect the payment receipts and other necessary documents. After that, apply for a reimbursement claim by following the steps shown below –

  • Intimate the insurer about the hospitalization within 48 hours of admission/discharge of emergency admission and 72 hours before a planned hospitalization
  • Submit the duly filled claim form and the required documents to the insurer

List of Documents Required to File a Reimbursement Claim

To file a reimbursement claim, the insured needs to submit the following documents to the insurer within 30 days from the date of discharge from the hospital.

  • Copy of health insurance policy
  • Case history, admission/discharge summary
  • F.I.R or MLC in case of accidental injury
  • Test reports and prescriptions relating to the consultations of the covered illness
  • Death summary in case of death at the hospital
  • Hospital receipts, bills, cash memos, bills for purchased medicines with prescriptions
  • Legal heir certificate in the absence of nomination in case of death
