What is the Cashless Procedure at the Oriental Insurance Network Hospital in Hyderabad?
You can apply for a cashless claim by obtaining pre-authorization from the insurer. To do so, follow the steps shown below –
- Notify the insurer about hospitalization within 48 hours of admission but before discharge
- Provide the following details while intimating the claim – policy number, ID card number., name of the patient, nature of disease/injury, name and address of the attending Medical practitioner, Hospital or Nursing Home
- Submit the duly filled claim form along with your medical records to the insurer
- The insurer will review your request and issue a pre-authorization letter/guarantee of payment letter to the Hospital/Nursing Home mentioning the payable claim amount
Note – You can notify the insurer about the claim by calling the helpline number, sending an email to csd@orientalinsurance.co.in.
What if the Network Hospital isn’t Near You?
In that case, you can receive treatment at a non-network hospital and seek reimbursement of the medical expenses later. To do so, follow the below steps –
- Receive treatment at a non-network hospital
- Upon discharge, pay the bills and collect the necessary documents
- File for a reimbursement claim within 15 days of discharge
- Download the claim form from the official website of Oriental Insurance, fill it and submit the same to the insurer with all the necessary documents
What Documents Do You Need to File a Reimbursement Claim?
You need to submit the following documents to file a reimbursement claim –
- Original bills, receipts and discharge certificate/card from the hospital
- All documents of the illness/injury treatment
- The medical history of the patient
- Original cash memo from the hospital or chemist with a prescription
- Test reports from a pathologist/radiologist including film, etc. with a note from the attending Medical Practitioner/Surgeon
- Consultants, Anesthetists, Specialist certificates regarding diagnosis and bills/receipts, etc.
- MLC/FIR/Post Mortem Report, if required
- Death certificate, if required
