How to Avail of Cashless Treatment at the Oriental Insurance Network Hospital?

You can receive cashless treatment by following the steps shown below –

  • Send an immediate written notice of claim with particulars – Policy Number, ID Card Number, Name of the Patient, Nature of disease/illness/injury, Name and Address of the Attending Medical Practitioner, Hospital or Nursing Home, etc.
  • Submit the duly filled claim form and the required documents to the insurer
  • The insurer will review the request and send a pre-authorization letter/guarantee of payment letter to the Hospital or Nursing Home along with the payable claim amount.

Note – You need to intimate the insurer while taking treatment in the Hospital or Nursing Home by fax or email within 48 hours of admission or before discharge.

What to do if Oriental Insurance Network Hospitals aren’t Nearby?

In such a case, you have an option to visit a non-network hospital and receive treatment. After that, pay the bills and collect the necessary documents from the hospital. Later, submit the duly filled claim form and the required documents to the insurer at the following address – Customer Service Department, 4th Floor, Agarwal House, Asaf Ali Road, New Delhi-110002.

What Document Do You Need to Submit?

You need to submit the following documents to the insurer for a hassle-free reimbursement claim

  • Original bills, receipts and discharge certificate/card from the hospital
    Consultants, Anesthetists, Specialist certificates regarding diagnosis and bills/receipts, etc.
  • Death certificate, if required
  • Cash memo from the hospital or chemist with the doctor’s prescription
  • Documents related to the illness/injury treatment
  • Medical history of the patient
  • MLC/FIR/Post Mortem Report, if required
  • Test reports from a pathologist/radiologist including film, etc. with a note from the attending Medical Practitioner/Surgeon
