What Steps Do You Need to Follow to Get Cashless Treatment?

For a cashless facility, call the Third Party Administrator (TPA), which is an intermediary between you and the insurance company for the said service. So, notify 72 hours before the planned admission and within 24 hours of emergency admission to get a cashless claim. Post-intimation, ensure the following –

• Give the name and address of the hospital, the condition you’re suffering from and other details
• Now, the hospital will send a duly filled pre-authorization request to the TPA
• Upon approval of the same, you can get treatment at the network hospital

Where to Get Treatment If the Network Hospital isn’t Nearby?

In such a case, you have the option of getting treatment at a non-network hospital. And later on, get reimbursement. For this, pay the bills for your treatment upfront and follow the below steps –

• Notify the claim via mail or fax within 72 hours of emergency hospitalization and 72 hours before a planned admission.
• Submit the discharge summary, investigation report and other relevant documents (Claim form – Part A & Part B) to the TPA within 15 days from the date of your discharge
• Upon approval of the same, the claim amount will be reimbursed to your bank account
