What is the Cashless Procedure for Treatment at the Above Network Hospitals?

Inform the Third Party Administrator (TPA), which is the link between you and the insurance company for cashless treatment, about the claim. After intimating the TPA, follow the below steps –

  • Submit details like – the name and address of the hospital, the condition requiring hospitalization, etc.
  • Now, the hospital will send a duly filled and signed pre-authorization form to the TPA
  • Upon getting successful approval, the cashless treatment will begin

Note – Notify the TPA about the claim 72 hours before the planned admission and within 24 hours of emergency admission

What if the National Insurance Network Hospital isn’t Nearby?

In such a case, you have the option to receive treatment at a non-network hospital. There, you need to pay the bills and collect the necessary documents from the hospital. On your discharge, apply for a reimbursement claim by following the below steps –

  • Mail or fax the claim intimation to the TPA within 72 hours of emergency hospitalization and 72 hours before a planned admission.
  • Collect the discharge summary, investigation report from the hospital authorities and submit them to the TPA within 15 days from the date of your discharge
  • When the claim is approved, the amount will be reimbursed to your linked bank account.

What Documents Do I Need for a Reimbursement?

Collect the below-listed documents to file a reimbursement claim-

  • A duly filled claim form (Part A & Part B)
  • Attending medical practitioner’s prescriptions
  • Surgeon’s original certificate showing the diagnosis and nature of operation performed besides bills/receipts etc.
  • Attending medical practitioner’s certificate regarding diagnosis and bill receipts etc.
  • Original payment receipt, investigation test reports, etc.
  • Original cash-memo from the hospital or chemist with proper prescription
  • Original bills, payment receipts, medical history of the patient recorded, discharge certificate/ summary from the hospital, etc.
