If you are in Delhi, 347 such hospitals shall provide you with a cashless facility. When you visit a network hospital for cashless treatment, you need to provide policy details such as the policy number or health ID card issued by the company. How Do You Get Cashless Treatment at the Above National Insurance Network Hospitals in Delhi?

To get a cashless facility at the above hospital, follow the below steps –

  • Go to any of the above hospitals and get admitted
  • Notify the Third-party Administrator (TPA) or insurance company about the admission 72 hours before a planned treatment and within 24 hours of emergency hospitalization.
  • Provide the following details while intimating the claim – name and address of the hospital, the condition requiring hospitalization, etc.
  • Subsequently, the network hospital sends a pre-authorization request for cashless treatment to the TPA. You and the hospital authorities should sign the pre-authorization form, which should include the details of admission, illness, proposed line of treatment, and estimated expenses.
  • Make sure to submit the documents to the TPA within 15 days of completing post-hospitalization treatment.

What Alternatives Do You Have When the National Insurance Network Hospital isn’t Nearby?

In this situation, you can go to a non-network hospital for treatment. After getting the treatment, pay the bills and collect the necessary documents from the hospital. Later, apply for a reimbursement claim by following the below steps –

  • Notify the claim via email or fax within 72 hours of emergency hospitalization and 72 hours before a planned admission
  • Collect the discharge summary, investigation report and other relevant documents (Claim form – Part A & Part B) from the hospital authorities
  • Submit the required documents to the TPA or insurer’s office within 15 days of discharge

Submit the below documents to the insurer

  • Duly filled Claim form issued by the insurer (Part A & Part B)
  • Original bills, payment receipts, medical history of the patient recorded, discharge certificate/ summary from the hospital, etc.
  • Attending a medical practitioner’s certificate regarding diagnosis and bill receipts etc.
  • Original cash-memo from the hospital (s)/chemist (s) supported by proper prescription
  • Original payment receipt, investigation test reports, etc. supported by the prescription from the attending medical practitioner
  • Surgeon’s original certificate stating diagnosis and nature of operation performed along with bills/receipts etc.
  • Any other document required by company/TPA
