How to File a Cashless Claim at the HDFC ERGO Network Hospitals in Guwahati?

To file a cashless claim, you need to follow the below steps –

  • Go to the network hospital from the above list
  • Show your health card and valid photo ID proof at the hospital reception
  • The hospital will send a cashless request to HDFC ERGO Health Insurance
  • And when you are discharged, the company shall settle the claim
  • You’ll receive the claim approval through SMS or email

What if the HDFC ERGO Network Hospital isn’t Nearby?

In such a case, you can go to a non-network hospital and apply for a reimbursement claim by following the steps shown below –

  • Pay the bills and collect the documents from the hospital before your discharge
  • Upload the required documents on the official website of HDFC ERGO
  • Download the KYC or NEFT and Digital claim form from the company’s website
  • After that, HDFC ERGO’s doctors will review the documents and send them to the company for claim processing
  • The company shall communicate its decision to you within 7 days from the time the last document is received by the company
  • The company may contact you for any additional documents if required.
  • And after getting all the documents, the claim will be processed in seven days and the amount will be transferred to your linked bank account.

What Documents Do You Need for a Reimbursement Claim?

You need to submit the following documents to the insurer –

  • Duly filled and signed claim form
  • Original discharge summary, the final bill with a detailed breakup, payment receipt, pharmacy invoices with prescriptions, investigation reports ( blood reports, X-Ray, etc)., implant sticker or invoice (for stent in angioplasty, lens cataract, etc)
  • Past treatment records, if any
  • Other relevant documents, if any
  • NEFT details for payment
  • A cancelled cheque in the name of the proposer or passbook copy attested by the bank
  • KYC documents if the claim amount is INR 1 lakh and above
  • In the case of an accident – Medico Legal Certificate (MLC) or FIR. In case the proposer dies, the nominee’s detail or the legal heir certificate if the nominee is a minor.
