What are the Steps to Receive Cashless Treatment at Edelweiss Network Hospitals in Delhi?

If you get sick or injured during the policy term, you can avail of cashless medical treatment at any of the above-mentioned Edelweiss General Insurance Network Hospitals in Delhi by following the steps shown below –

  1. Visit the network hospital
  2. Show your health card along with a valid ID proof (Voter ID card, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, etc.)
  3. Submit the duly filled and signed pre-authorization form
  4. Wait for approval

The network hospital will send your pre-authorization form to the insurer, which will notify you about the claim approval/rejection in writing.

Things to Know Before Filing a Cashless Claim

  1. Intimate the insurer about the hospitalization 72 hours before the admission in case of a planned hospitalization
  2. Whereas in case of an emergency hospitalization, intimate the insurer within 48 hours of admission/discharge from the hospital.

What to do if a Cashless Claim Request is Rejected?

In such a case, you can file a reimbursement claim within 48 hours of admission/discharge from the hospital. And to do so, submit the following documents to the insurer –

  1. Duly filled and signed Claim Form
  2. Photocopy of health ID card or policy document
  3. Original detailed discharge summary from the hospital
  4. Original consolidated hospital bill with break up of each item
  5. Original payment receipt of the hospital bill with the receipt number
  6. First Consultation letter and subsequent prescriptions
  7. Original bills, payment receipts and reports for investigation
  8. Surgeon certificate stating the nature of operation performed, along with surgeon’s bills and receipts, if applicable
  9. Fees of doctors, consultants, specialist’s, Anesthetist bills, receipts and certificate regarding the treatment
  10. Original medicine bills along with receipts and prescriptions
  11. Original invoice/bills for implants with original payment receipts
  12. Copy of the First Information Report (FIR) or Medico-Legal Certificate (MLC), if applicable
