How to Receive Cashless Treatment at Edelweiss Network Hospitals in Patna?
You can avail of the cashless facility at Edelweiss Network Hospital in Patna by following the steps shown below:
- Visit any of the above-mentioned network hospitals in Patna
- Show your health ID card at the hospital reception
- Submit the duly filled and signed pre-authorization form at the network hospital
Once you are done with the above-mentioned steps, the hospital will send your pre-authorization form to the insurance company for approval. Once pre-authorization is approved by the insurer, you can receive treatment for your illness or injury at the network hospital within 10 days of the approval.
What to do if Pre-authorization is Rejected?
In case your pre-authorization for the cashless facility is rejected, you can file a reimbursement claim by submitting the following documents to the insurer –
- Duly filled and signed claim form
- Copy of your health ID card or policy document
- Original discharge summary from the hospital
- Original consolidated hospital bill with a break-up of each item
- Original payment receipts of the hospital bill with the receipt number
- First consultation letter and subsequent prescriptions related to the illness/injury for which you have been admitted to the hospital
- Original bills, payment receipts and investigation reports
- Surgeon certificate stating the nature of operation performed, along with surgeon’s bills and receipts, if applicable
- Attending doctors, consultants, specialist’s, anesthetist bills and receipts, and certificates regarding the treatment
- Original medicine bills and receipts with prescriptions
- Original invoice/bills for implants with original payment receipts
- Copy of the First Information Report (FIR) or Medico-Legal Certificate (MLC), if applicable
How to Notify the Insurer About the Hospitalization?
Intimate the insurer about the hospitalization by calling the helpline number or writing an email to support@edelweissinsurance.com. For a planned hospitalization, notify the insurer at least 72 hours before the scheduled admission. Whereas, in case of emergency hospitalization, notify the insurer within 48 hours of admission/discharge.
