How to Avail of Cashless Treatment at Edelweiss Network Hospitals in Bhubaneswar?

To get cashless treatment at any of the above-mentioned Edelweiss Network Hospitals, follow the steps shown below:

  1. Show your health ID card at the reception
  2. Submit the duly filled pre-authorization form to the network hospital

The network provider will send your pre-authorization form to the insurance company for approval. After the pre-authorization approval, you can receive cashless medical treatment at the network hospital.

Note:  The cashless medical treatment is available at the network hospital within 10 days of the pre-authorization approval.

What if the Pre-authorization for Cashless Claim is Not Approved by Edelweiss?

If the cashless claim is rejected, file a reimbursement claim by submitting the following documents to the insurer –

  1. Duly filled and signed claim form
  2. Copy of health ID card or policy document
  3. Copy of the First Information Report (FIR) or Medico-Legal Certificate (MLC), if applicable
  4. First consultation letter and subsequent prescriptions
  5. Attending doctors, consultants, specialist’s, anesthetist bills and receipts and certificates regarding the treatment of the illness/injury
  6. Surgeon certificate stating the nature of operation performed, surgeon’s bills and receipts, if applicable
  7. Original bills, payment receipts and reports for investigation
  8. Original discharge summary from the hospital
  9. Original consolidated hospital bill with the break-up of each item
  10. Original payment receipt of the hospital bill with the receipt number
  11. Original medicine bills and receipts with prescriptions from the attending doctor
  12. Original invoice/bills for implants with original payment receipts, if applicable

Procedure to Intimate Edelweiss About the Hospitalization

You can inform the insurer about the hospitalization either by calling the helpline number or writing an email to support@edelweissinsurance.com. You can intimate the insurer within 72 hours before the hospital admission in case of planned hospitalization and within 48 hours of admission/discharge in case of emergency hospitalization.
