Intimate the Insurer About the Hospitalization

You can intimate the insurer about the hospitalization through the following –

1. Call the toll-free number 1800-103-2292
2. Write an email to claims@bhartiaxa.com
3. Visit Bharti AXA’s official website

After that, share the following information with the insurer –

1. Name of the insured
2. Policy number
3. Contact details (mobile number/email address)
4. Nature of the disease
5. Name and address of the hospital
6. Date of hospitalization

Note – Notify the insurer within 48 hours of admission or discharge from the hospital, whichever is earlier.

Cashless Claim Procedure

For cashless medical treatment at Bharti AXA Network Hospitals in Chennai, follow the steps shown below –

1. Intimate the insurer within 48 hours of admission
2. Show your Health ID card at the network hospital
3. Fill the pre-authorization form and submit it to the hospital

Later, the hospital will fax/mail the duly filled pre-authorization form to the insurer or TPA. You and the network hospital will be notified about the claim approval/rejection within 6 hours (emergency hospitalization) and 48 hours (planned hospitalization) of submission of the request.

Reimbursement Claim Procedure

If your cashless claim is not approved by the insurer, file a reimbursement claim post-discharge from the hospital. First, pay your hospital bills on your own and later seek reimbursement for the same by following the steps shown below –

1. Intimate the insurer about the hospitalization
2. Submit the duly filled claim form to the insurer along with the required documents

Note – Reimbursement claims can be filed within 7 days from the date of discharge from the hospital.
