Cashless claim Procedure at Aditya Birla Health Insurance

For the cashless claim, you need to follow the steps shown below –

  1. Go to the Aditya Birla Health official website
  2. Click on the network hospital list and choose one
  3. Go to the selected network hospital, show your Aditya Birla Health Insurance Card or provide your policy number. Along with that, show valid ID proof such as Passport, PAN card, Voter’s ID, etc.
  4. Then the pre-authorization process starts as the hospital sends the request form. For emergency hospitalization, the request form submission time limit is 48 hours from the date of hospitalization. Whereas, if it is a planned hospitalization, the request form can be submitted three days before hospitalization.

Note – The insurer provides you updates regarding pre-authorization via SMS or email.

In case the cashless claim is rejected by the insurer or the network hospital remains far from your place, you can seek reimbursement claims too. In reimbursement, you will first need to pay for your treatment. Post-discharge, you can submit the relevant documents to Aditya Birla, which will review your claim and approve only after successful verification. Within a few days of approval, you will get the claim amount in your bank account.

To use this facility, you need to submit the following documents to the insurer within 15 days starting from the date of discharge from the hospital.

  1. Duly filled claim form Part A
  2. Claim form Part B (duly completed by the Hospital)
  3. Health card/Policy copy
  4. KYC documents such as Photo ID, Address and age proof
  5. Hospital Registration Certificate copy
  6. Original discharge card, daycare summary, transfer summary or death Summary
  7. Original final hospital bill with break up along with all the original deposit and final payment receipts.
  8. Original invoice along with the payment receipt for charges billed outside the hospital main bill
  9. Implant stickers & invoices used during the surgeries
  10. Letter from the treating doctor stating complaints, duration, medical history and treatment details
  11. Previous consultation papers for the current ailment
  12. Original diagnostic reports with prescriptions and bills
  13. Pharmacy/Medical bills along with the Medical Practitioner’s prescription

Note: The above-mentioned documents are indicative and may vary depending on the case. And if it is a case of an accident, you need to submit a Medico-Legal Certificate (MLC) or First Investigation Report (FIR) copy, letter of the treating doctor stating details of the accident/trauma and influence of alcohol and any intoxicants and pre and post-operative imaging reports as well.
