Liberty Secure Future Connect Plan provides financial protection to the insured person against unfortunate events like death, permanent total disability, critical illness and loss of job. Liberty Secure Future Connect Plan Base Cover

You’ll get coverage against the following during the policy period:

Critical Illnesses

The insurer shall cover the following critical illnesses, medical events or surgical procedures under this policy if you have signs or symptoms for more than 90 days after the commencement of this policy:

  1. Cancer of Specified Severity;
  2. End-stage Renal Failure
  3. Benign Brain Tumor;
  4. Parkinson‟s Disease;
  5. End-stage Liver Disease;
  6. Alzheimer‟s Disease;
  7. Motor Neurone disease with permanent symptoms
  8. Multiple sclerosis with persisting symptoms
  9. Muscular Dystrophy
  10. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus with Lupus Nephritis
  11. Medullary cystic disease
  12. Major Organ / Bone Marrow Transplant;
  13. Open Heart Replacement or Repair of Heart Valves;
  14. Open Chest CABG ;
  15. Surgery of Aorta;
  16. Pneumonectomy
  17. Pulmonary Artery Graft Surgery
  18. Stroke resulting in Permanent Symptoms
  19. Permanent Paralysis of Limbs
  20. First Heart Attack of Specified Severity
  21. Coma of Specified Severity
  22. Major Burns
  23. Deafness
  24. Loss of Speech
  25. Primary Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension

You can choose your critical illness cover from the following options:

  1. Option A – Covers Critical illnesses from 1 to 8
  2. Option B – Covers Critical illnesses from 1 to 10
  3. Option C – Covers Critical illnesses from 1 to 16
  4. Option D – Covers Critical illnesses from 1 to 10 and 17 to 25
  5. Option E – Covers All critical illnesses

Personal Accident

In case you meet with an accident during the policy period and the injury sustained is the sole and direct cause of death or permanent total disablement, the insurer will pay the following benefits as described below:

Death: If an insured person suffers an accident and dies within 12 months due to the accidental bodily injury, the insurer will pay the sum Insured, as mentioned in the policy schedule, to the nominee. The insurer will pay an additional sum insured of INR 5,000 towards the funeral ceremony of the insured person.

Permanent Total Disability: If the insured person meets with an accident during the policy period and the sustained injury results in permanent total disability, the insurer will pay 100 percent of the sum insured as specified in the policy document. The covered losses will include:

  1. Loss of Limbs – both hands or both feet or one hand and one foot
  2. Loss of a limb and an eye
  3. Complete and irrecoverable loss of sight of both eye
  4. Complete and irrecoverable loss of speech and hearing of both ears

Under personal accident cover, you get the following options:

Option A – Under option A, you’ll get 100% of the capital sum insured in the event of accidental death or permanent total disability.

Option B – If you choose option B, you’ll get an additional 100% of the capital sum insured in case of accidental death or permanent total disability whilst traveling in the listed public carriers. The listed public carriers include – bus, ferry, hovercraft, ship, taxi, train, tram, underground train, commercial helicopter or aircraft.

Involuntary Loss of Job

On the occurrence of the critical illness or permanent total disability, the insurer will pay up to three EMIs falling due after the commencement of the insured event till the reinstatement of employment with the same or new employer.

You can purchase this policy if you meet the following age criteria:

  1. Minimum entry age – 18 years
  2. Maximum entry age – 65 years

Discounts on Liberty Secure Future Connect Plan

You can get a discount on your premium by making a change in coverage:

  1. Including the 30-day survival period under ‘Critical Illness’ cover – 5%
  2. Deletion of ‘Involuntary Loss of Job’ cover – 10%

Free Look Period

You will have a free look period of 15 days from the date of receipt of the policy documents to review the terms and conditions. If you disagree with any of the terms and conditions, you can return the policy stating the reasons for it. On such cancellation, you will be entitled to a refund of the paid premium after a deduction of health check-up expenses, policy issuance and stamp duty charges. In cases where the risk has already commenced and the option of returning the policy is exercised, the refund of the paid premium is subject to a deduction for proportionate risk premium for the period on cover, health check-up expenses, policy issuance and stamp duty charges.
