How to Check ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Policy Status?

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Policy Status

Both registered and non-registered users can check the ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Policy Status online as well as offline. The steps for the same are described below under different headings.

Procedure to Check ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Policy Status (Registered User)

  1. Visit the official website of ICICI Life Insurance
  2. Click on the ‘Login’ button 
  3. Choose the option ‘Customer’ and  you will be redirected to the customer login page
  4. Enter the email ID/registered mobile number and password to log in 

To check ICICI prudential policy status, click on the option of ‘Application Tracker’, and check your application status by entering your mobile number, application number, policy number or transaction ID.

To check your claim status online, select the ‘Track Claim Status’ option and enter your claim ID.

Procedure to Check ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Policy Status Online (Non-Registered User)

If you are a new customer, you need to register for online services by following the steps shown below:

  1. Visit the ICICI Life Insurance official website
  2. Click on the login button
  3. Choose the ‘Customer Login’ option
  4. Select ‘New User’
  5. Enter the policy number, email ID, mobile number and date of birth
  6. Click on the ‘Submit’ button
  7. Click on the option to generate OTP. You’ll receive an OTP on your registered email/mobile number
  8. Enter the OTP and set the account password
  9. After that, log in to your account and check your ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Policy Status Online as shown above.

Note: After a successful registration process, the account will be activated after six hours.

Procedure to Check ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Policy Status Offline

You can also check the status of your ICICI Prudential Life Insurance policy offline using the helpline number and SMS service. How to register a mobile number/email to check policy status offline?

  1. To register your mobile number SMS – REG <PolicyNumber> <DateofBirth> 
  2. To register email id SMS – EREG <EmailAddress> <PolicyNumber> <DateofBirth>

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Turnaround Time

The Turnaround Time (TAT) applicable to ICICI Prudential Life Insurance as per the Insurance Regulation and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) is as follows:

  1. For the processing of proposals and communication of decisions including requirements, policy issuance/cancellation is 15 days. You will obtain a copy of the proposal within 30 days of approval.
  2. Post policy issuance service requests concerning mistakes, refund of the proposal deposits or non-claim related service requests TAT is 10 Days
  3. The TAT for policy surrender value, annuity or pension payment processing is 10 Days
  4. Maturity claim or survival benefit shall be paid within 15 days from the date of approval

Once the insurer receives a claim intimation and all the required documents, they’ll assess, settle and communicate its decision of claim settlement and rejection within the predefined period.

Death Claims: Settlement or rejection or repudiation of claims shall be done not later than 30 days from the date of receipt of the last necessary document. Wherein investigation is required, the investigation should be completed within 90 days from the date of receipt of claim intimation and the claim shall be settled within 30 days thereafter.

Health Claims: Settlement or rejection or repudiation of claims shall be done not later than 30 days from the date of receipt of the last necessary document. Wherein investigation is required, the investigation should be completed within 30 days from the date of receipt of claim intimation and the claim shall be settled within 45 days from the date of receipt of the last necessary document.
