Coverage for Future Generali Mosquito Insurance Plan

If the insured is suffering from any of the following conditions, he/she will get a 100% lump sum payment for the hospitalization expenses.

  1. Malaria
  2. Dengue
  3. Lymphatic Filariasis
  4. Kala-azar
  5. Japanese Encephalitis
  6. Chikungunya
  7. Zika Virus

Who Gets Covered?

The Future Generali Mosquito Insurance Plan covers self, spouse, 3 dependent children up to 25 years unmarried and 2 dependent parents.

Pre-Medical Tests

The company won’t require any pre-medical check-up for the policy irrespective of the sum insured or the age of the insured.

Exclusions from the Future Generali Mosquito Insurance Plan

  1. Conditions other than the above-mentioned diseases
  2. Outpatient treatment
  3. Non-allopathic treatment
  4. Delayed medical treatment
  5. Diagnosis and treatment outside India, this exclusion may not apply to the following:- Canada, Japan, Dubai, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland, USA, and European Union countries.
  6. Claims from outside India will only be accepted if it is in English.

Waiting Period

There is an initial waiting period of 15 days on the Future Generali Mosquito Insurance Plan from the date of commencement of health risk. And if the insured is suffering or suffered from any of the covered diseases, except Lymphatic Filariasis, 60 days before the proposal, the waiting period will increase up to 60 days. If the insured is suffering or suffered from Lymphatic Filariasis within 60 days before the date of the proposal, it would be excluded from the policy and the rest of the conditions will have a waiting period of 60 days.

Cooling Off Period

It is a no claim period where the insured can’t claim the policy for a covered condition from the date of admission.

Free-Look Period

The insurance company gives you at least 15 days to review the terms of the Future Generali Mosquito Insurance Plan and return the same if not accepted. Your free look period is applied from the date of inception of the policy. The following are the advantages the insured may claim in this period if he/she hasn’t made any claim.

  1. Refund of the paid premium minus the stamp duty charges and medical tests
  2. If the insured is diagnosed with any of the conditions and he/she returns the policy, the concerned individual is eligible for a deduction on the risk premium for the period on the cover.
  3. If only a part of the risk is commenced, the risk premium will be corresponding to the risk covered.

Claim Process

Alternatively, you can email the claim form to the official email address of the insurance company.

The claim process will be completed within 15 days from the date the company receives all the necessary documents along with the claim form.   1. Duly filled Future Generali Claim Form signed by the claimant along with the Medical Certificate Form filled, signed and stamped by the attending doctor.
  2. Original Discharge Card or Certificate from the hospital or nursing home
  3. Doctor’s consultation reports and medical history
  4. Original Hospitalization and other medical Bills or Receipts
  5. Cash Memos from hospital and pharmacies with proper prescription
  6. Investigation reports
  7. Medico-Legal Certificate (MLC) for accident cases
