Star Health Medi Classic plan is one of the popular plans with the family package that provides several health benefits with bonus options. Care Freedom Plan, on the other hand, can be the right choice for people affected by diabetes, high blood pressure, and high BMI. When it comes to choosing the plan option, both Star Health Medi Classic and Care Freedom Plan provide flexibility with multiple sum assured options. If we talk about Star Health Medi Classic, individuals can choose from two options – Basic plan and Gold plan. With a basic plan, the sum insured amount can go up to INR 15 lakh, while this amount can go up to INR 25 lakh with a gold plan.
On the other hand, the Care Freedom Plan also provides two options of Plan 1 and Plan 2 that individuals can choose according to their needs. With Plan 1, the sum insured can be INR 3 lakh and INR 5 lakh, and if you are choosing plan 2, the sum insured options can be INR 7 lakh and INR 10 lakh.
In the case of the Star Health Medi Classic plan, individuals can choose a policy term of 1 year, 2 years or 3 years. Do remember that if you are choosing a policy for more than 1 year, there will not be any carry-over benefit on your sum assured.
On the other hand, for a Care Freedom Plan, you can also choose a policy term of 1 year, 2 years or 3 years for both plan 1 and plan 2.
One of the most important things that you should look at when choosing a health insurance plan is the premium amount. In the case of the Star Health Medi Classic plan, the minimum premium amount stands at INR 4,015 per year for a sum assured of INR 1,50,000. Also, you can pay premiums in different modes of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, annually, biennially and triennially.
One of the best things about the Care Freedom Plan is that individuals can get a discount on their premium if they choose a 2-year policy term or 3-year policy term, which can make their overall experience more convenient.
When we talk about the basic plan under Star Health Medi Classic, the entry age ranges from 5 years to 65 years, while it can be as early as the 16th day from birth up to 65 years with the gold plan. For the Care Freedom plan, the minimum entry age can be 18 years for adults and 90 days for children, while the maximum entry age can be lifelong and 24 years for adults and children respectively.
Both health insurance plans from Star Health and Care Health provide the option of lifelong renewability to the customer with which they can stay free of worries about medical emergencies.
