You can choose from two types of Critical Connect plans –

Conditions Applicable to Plan A

  1. The insurer will pay a lump sum amount if you are diagnosed with any of the above-listed conditions during the policy period and survive 30 days from the date of diagnosis.
  2. Up to 3 conditions covered under plan A over a lifetime
  3. A 24-month waiting period shall apply between the occurrences of each condition
  4. Coverage shall not be given for a second or third condition if it is related to the pre-existing disease.

Conditions Applicable to Plan B

  1. Multiple claims can be made under plan B up to the sum insured
  2. A lump sum of 100% of the sum insured shall be payable in case of a major condition and 25% of the sum insured shall be payable in case of a minor condition
  3. In case a major condition occurs after the minor condition, 75%  of the sum insured shall be payable
  4. Under Heart and Cancer Protect cover, multiple claims are allowed until the exhaustion of the total payout.

Liberty Critical Connect Policy Other Benefits

You will also get the following benefits under this plan –

Second Medical Opinion/Tele-Consult: The insurer will arrange and pay for your second opinion. You can seek a second medical opinion for your illness through the insurer’s empaneled network providers. The medical specialist will directly send you the e-opinion.

Note: You can use this benefit only once in a policy year. 

Fee Health Check-ups: You can avail of free health check-ups after a block of every 2 claim-free policy years at network hospitals. This benefit is available for the insured whose age is 18 years and above. The following tests are covered under free health check-ups:

  1. Complete blood count
  2. Fasting Blood Sugar
  3. S. Cholesterol
  4. S. Creatinine
  5. ECG

Health 360°: The insurer provides you the following Health & Wellness services under this policy to ensure your well-being –

  1. Delight Healthcare: You can avail of outpatient consultation, pharmaceuticals and diagnostic tests at network hospitals. The insurer will assist in scheduling appointments for consultation and diagnostic tests at your convenience.
  2. Concierge Healthcare: The insurer offers you integrated healthcare services. You can access these services at the insurer’s health portal or mobile app. Here, you can perform various healthcare activities such as – Health Risk Assessment ( HRA), Disease Management Program, Dedicated Health Professional and Wellness Rewards

Critical Illnesses Related to HIV/AIDS: If you’re diagnosed with critical illness due to HIV/AIDS infection, the payable amount shall be limited to 10% of the sum insured for a policy year. The maximum liability for a critical illness related to HIV/AIDS is 100% of the sum insured in a lifetime. A 24-month waiting period shall apply between the occurrences of the insured condition related to HIV/AIDS. Whereas a 48-month waiting period shall apply for the insured condition which is not related to HIV/AIDS and its complications.

The diagnosis of HIV/AIDS must be supported by the following evidence and confirmed by a specialist medical practitioner –

  1. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) testing is repeatedly ELISA reactive
  2. Western blot testing is reactive

Under this cover, the insurer will pay for the following critical illnesses arising due to HIV/AIDS infection –

  1. Tumors
  2. Encephalitis
  3. SLE
  4. Chronic constrictive pericarditis
  5. Cancer
  6. Pulmonary Hypertension
  7. Pulmonary renal syndrome
  8. Organ Transplant
  9. Conditions related to Lung, Liver & Kidney

Note: Maximum three claims in a lifetime shall not apply to a valid claim under Critical Illnesses Related to HIV/AIDS. ’ 

Liberty Critical Connect Policy Optional Cover

You can add any of the below-mentioned optional covers under this policy by paying an additional premium for it

Loan Protector Cover: After the first diagnosis of any of the covered conditions, the insurer will pay one of the following, whichever is lower:

  1. EMI of a loan for 12 months
  2. A lump sum amount as specified in the policy schedule (3% of the sum insured)

This benefit is subject to submission of sanction letter, repayment track record and bank account statement reflecting EMI or Loan account statement.

Note: You can avail of this benefit until the Principal Outstanding loan amount is fully paid or expiry of the policy period, whichever is earlier.

Option to Waive a 30-Day Survival Period: By choosing this optional cover, you can waive the survival period.

Free Look Period

A free look period of 15 days applies from the date of receipt of the policy document to review the terms and conditions of this policy. You can cancel this policy during the free look period by stating the reasons for cancellation in writing. If there are no claims reported during the free look period, you will be entitled to a refund of the paid premium after a deduction on pre-policy health check-ups, stamp duty charges and proportionate risk premium for the period on the cover.
