The benefits payable under this plan are as follows –
Death Benefit: The capital sum insured as specified in the policy schedule against this benefit shall be paid to the nominee in case of death of the insured within twelve months from the date of bodily injury.
Permanent Total Disablement Benefit (PTD): If the insured has been confirmed suffering from PTD from the attending medical practitioner within twelve months from the date of the accident, the specified capital sum insured shall be payable to him based upon the loss. Under this benefit, the insurer shall cover the following losses –
Note: If an accidental injury results in immediate PTD and affects employment or occupation of any description, the insurer will pay a lump sum equal to 100% of the capital sum insured stated to such insured.
Carriage of Dead Body Benefit: In case of death of the insured, the insurer shall reimburse the amount incurred due to transportation of the insured’s dead body to the place of the residence. Under this benefit, either a maximum of 2% of the capital sum insured or INR 10,000, whichever is less, will be payable to the nominee. To claim this benefit, the claimant should submit the following documents to the insurer –
Ambulance Charges Cover: Actual charges incurred for any ambulance service for transportation of the insured to the hospital from the place of the accident will be covered under the policy. The benefit is subject to a maximum sum of INR 2,000/-.
Note: Any of the above-mentioned benefits shouldn’t exceed the capital sum insured as specified in the policy schedule. On payment of additional premium, the policy benefit can be extended to Medical Benefits, Hospital Confinement Allowance and PTD improved benefits.
The insurance company shall not be liable to cover any expenses arising out of the following:
You will have a period of 15 days (Free Look Period) from the date of receipt of the policy to review its terms and conditions. And if you disagree with any of the terms or conditions of the policy, you can return the policy stating the reasons for your objection. On such cancellation, you’ll be entitled to a refund of the paid premium after a deduction of the medical examination expenses and stamp duty charges.
