Hospitalization Expenses

All the expenses related to the hospitalization are covered in this plan like bed-charges, nursing charges, blood tests, ICU Charges, and other consultation fees. You can see the cover below:-

  1. Room’s Rent- 2% of the Sum Assured of up to Rs.5000.
  2. ICU’s Rent- 5% of the Sum Assured of up to Rs.10000.

Pre-Hospitalization and Post-Hospitalization Benefits

The company will cover the expenses incurred 30 days before hospitalization. On the other hand, you will get the reimbursement of those expenses that you have paid after hospitalization until 60 days.

Cataract Cover

You will also get a Cataract Cover which means all the expenses done for the treatment of cataract will be reimbursed. The cover you will get for the cataract treatment will be the lowest of the following:-

  1. 25% of the Sum Assured
  2. Rs 40,000

Day Care Treatment

If in case you aren’t hospitalized and your treatment has been done within 24 hours then those expenses will also be covered in this health insurance plan. So, the treatment done in a day will also be covered in this plan.

Dental Treatment and Plastic Surgery

You will also get the cover for Dental Treatment and Plastic Surgery if in case it is necessitated due to any other disease. The company will reimburse all the expenses incurred in the Dental Treatment and Plastic Surgery.

AYUSH Treatment

  2. Balloon Sinoplasty
  3. Deep Brain Stimulation
  4. Oral Chemotherapy
  5. Immunotherapy – Monoclonal antibody to be given as an injection
  6. Intravitreal injections
  7. Robotic Surgeries
  8. Stereotactic radio surgeries
  9. Bronchial Thermoplasty
  10. Vaporisation of Prostrate (Green Laser treatment of Holmium laser treatment)
  11. IONM – (Intra Operative Neuro Monitoring)
  12. Stem Cell Therapy

Ambulance Cover

You will get the reimbursement of the ambulance expenses as well in this health insurance plan. The maximum reimbursement capped for the Ambulance Hospitalization Expenses is up to Rs.2000.

Cover your Loved Ones

You can add your family members that are your loved ones in the same insurance plan. You can add your Spouse, Children, Parents, and in-laws in the same policy.

Cashless Settlement

There are more than 10000 Network hospitals across India where you can get the treatment through a cashless facility. The company will directly transfer the claim amount to the hospital and there is no need to visit the company to make the claim.

No Claim Bonus

If you will not make any claim during the policy term of one year then the company will increase your Sum Assured by 5%. You will get a no-claim bonus of 5% of the Sum Assured every year if you don’t make any claim until it reaches 50% of the Sum Assured. The value of the Sum Assured will increase every year and the amount of premium remains the same.

Multiple Options to Choose the Sum Assured

The company gives you the option to choose the amount of Sum Assured as per your needs. The amount of the Sum Assured starts from Rs.1 Lac and a maximum of up to Rs.5 Lacs. You can choose any amount in the multiple of INR 50000 between the ranges of Rs.1 Lac to Rs.5 Lac.

Waiting Period of HDFC ERGO Arogya Sanjeevani Policy

  1. There is a waiting period of 24 months from the date of inception of the policy for the 12 illnesses mentioned above.
  2. There is a waiting period of 48 months if you are having a pre-existing disease and you want to cover it.
  3. The company has a mandatory 30 days waiting criteria in which from the date of inception of the policy before the diseases are covered.
  4. There is no waiting period for the accidental hospitalization because the cover starts from the next day from the date of inception of the policy.

  2. Self-Inflicted injuries
  3. Damage done through Wars
  4. Participation of the Insured into Defence Operations
  5. Venereal and Sexually Transmitted Diseases
