Hospitalization Expenses Cover

If an insured person is hospitalized for the treatment of an illness (Covered under the policy) for a minimum of 24 hours, the policy will cover the following in-patient hospitalization expenses.

  1. Boarding and nursing
  2. Fees of surgeon, consultant and anesthetist
  3. Cost of blood, oxygen, diagnostic expenses, pacemakers, medicines and drugs, etc.

Pre and Post-Hospitalization Expenses Cover

Policyholders will also get coverage against expenses incurred before and after hospitalization for 60 and 90 days, respectively. The pre-hospitalization coverage amount will be up to 5% of in-patient hospitalization claims, whereas post-hospitalization cover will be up to 10% of the admissible hospitalization claim or a maximum of INR 50,000.

Emergency Ambulance Charges

If an individual needs to get transported to a nearby hospital via an ambulance, the plan will cover up to INR 3,000 per hospitalization towards the cost incurred on transportation.

Hospitalization Expenses of Organ Donor

If an insured person needs to undergo an organ transplantation surgery, Chola Top Up Healthline Plan will also cover the hospitalization expenses of the organ donor.

No Pre-acceptance Medical Screening

Individuals below 55 years of age don’t need to undergo any medical check-up at the time of entering the policy. On the issuance of the policy, Chola MS will also reimburse up to 50% for the cost of pre-policy health checkups.
