Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana

Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana was launched on 13th December 2015 to provide healthcare facilities to the poor living in the state of Rajasthan. Under this Rajasthan Government insurance scheme, families who come under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and the National Health Insurance Scheme of Rajasthan will be covered. This scheme enables you to seek treatment as an in-patient from any of the network hospitals as listed in the policy schedule. Coverage Under the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana

This government scheme will provide coverage of INR 30,000 per family for the treatment of common diseases. Whereas if the identified disease is serious, the coverage of INR 3 lakh is provided to the insured family members.

Besides the above-mentioned coverage, families will also get free medicines and health check-ups (as OPD patients). And under the scheme, your pre-hospitalization expenses will be covered for up to 7 days. On the other hand, post-hospitalization expenses will be covered for up to 15 days. And the insured member can also get a travel allowance of INR 100-200 per annum in case of heart disease or severe trauma.

Note – There is a provision of acceptance from the corpus fund, if required, even after the sum insured is exhausted.

How to Make a Claim?

Show your Bhamashah Card at the hospital. Or in the case of Bhamashah Card absence, you can show your NFSA or Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) document. With this, you can easily get cashless treatment under Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana. The insured families don’t have to worry about the medical expenses as all these will be covered under the policy and the government will pay the hospital directly.

1. You should be a citizen of Rajasthan
2. You should have the Bhamashah
3. Voter ID Card of Rajasthan
4. Financially weaker or belonging to the low-income group

Note – This government scheme provides health insurance cover for 4.5 Crore people with the facility of 656 network hospitals where you can seek cashless treatment for your illness or injury.
