Flexible Policy Period

Policyholders can choose from multiple policy term options according to their requirements – 1, 2 or 3 years. You can get discounts of 5% and 10% on plans with 2 and 3-year policy terms, respectively, if you pay a single premium.

Also, existing customers of Navi General Insurance Limited will get a 5% discount on the purchase of the new policy.

Flexible Plan and Sum Insured Options

COCO Seasonal Byte provides two plan options from which individuals can choose according to their needs. These two options are Indemnity and Benefit-based plans. The sum insured will depend on the chosen plan by the policyholder. To know more, please check the below table.

If you choose the indemnity plan, the policy will cover the expenses against the medically necessary treatment for the following illnesses during the policy term.

  1. Dengue Fever
  2. Zika Fever
  3. Chikungunya
  4. Malaria
  5. Leptospirosis
  6. Swine Flu
  7. Vector-Borne Encephalitis

Note: Such illnesses should be diagnosed after 15 days from the commencement of the first policy.

On the other hand, if you choose a fixed benefit plan, the policy will pay a lump sum amount if the insured person is diagnosed with Dengue or Malaria during the policy term.

In-patient Hospitalization Coverage

Policyholders will get the coverage against the following medical expenses if the hospitalization period is more than 24 consecutive hours up to the sum insured.

  2. Intensive Care Unit (ICU) charges
  3. Operation Theatre charges
  4. Fees of Medical Practitioner/Specialists
  5. Investigation & Diagnostic procedures
  6. Medicines, Drugs and Consumables
  7. Anaesthesia, Blood, Oxygen

Pre and Post-Hospitalization Coverage

Under the Indemnity Plan, the policy will also cover expenses incurred up to 15 days before the hospitalization and after the insured person’s discharge from the hospital. If the insured person undergoes more than one hospitalization within 45 days, post-hospitalization expenses cover will not exceed 15 days cumulatively.

Road Ambulance, Repatriation of Mortal Remains and Funeral Expenses Coverage

If an insured person needs to be transported to a nearby hospital or transferred to another hospital from one hospital, the policy will cover the transportation cost up to INR 2,000 per hospitalization.

The policy will cover the following expenses if the insured person dies in the hospital during hospitalization.

  1. Transportation of mortal remains from hospital to home and/or to cremation ground for funeral purposes
  2. Cremation expenses
  3. Coffin charges

Home Care Treatment

If a policyholder is undergoing necessary medical treatment at home (certified by treating medical practitioner) due to its non-emergency nature, the policy will cover the expenses incurred up to 25% of the sum insured or INR 30,000 (whichever is less).

OPD Treatment Coverage (including AYUSH)

Navi Group COCO Seasonal Byte Plan will reimburse the following medical expenses incurred towards necessary treatment taken on an outpatient basis up to 25% of the sum insured or INR 30,000 (whichever is less).

  1. Medical practitioner fees for outpatient treatment
  2. Diagnostic Tests (laboratory investigations recommended by treating medical practitioner)
  3. Pharmacy (medicines prescribed by the doctor)

Navi Group COCO Seasonal Byte Plan Eligibility Criteria

  1. The minimum age at entry under the policy stands at 91 days, while it can go up to 75 years.
  2. For dependent children, there is no maximum age limit if he/she is completely financially dependent on parents with no source of dependent income.
  3. Policyholders can renew the policy lifetime.

What is Not Covered Under the Seasonal Byte Plan?

The policy from Navi Group will not pay for any claims arising directly or indirectly from the following situations.

  1. Any Illness(es) which is not specified under Specified Illness
  2. Any specified illness that is not diagnosed by the Medical Practitioner
  3. Comorbid Conditions
  4. Diagnosis and treatment outside India
  5. Ancillary Charges (Charges related to admission, discharge, administration, registration, documentation & filing, service charge)
  6. Dietary supplements
  7. Incidental Services & Supplies
  8. Any treatment which is not reasonable and medically necessary
  9. Preventive Vaccinations
  10. Unrelated Diagnostic Procedures
  11. Sexually Transmitted Diseases
  12. External Congenital anomalies
  13. Treatment from an unrecognized Physician
  14. Maternity and Pregnancy
  15. Experimental or Unrecognized Treatment
