Liberty Group Hospi-Cash Connect Policy

Liberty Group Hospi-Cash Connect Policy provides employees of an organization/company the financial protection against medical expenses during the policy period. Liberty Group Hospi-Cash Connect Policy Base Cover

Under this policy, the employer will get the following benefit options:

  1. Daily Hospital Cash Benefit: If the insured is hospitalized due to any illness or accidental bodily injury for a continuous period of more than 24 hours, daily hospital cash shall be payable up to 30 days per event. The daily cash benefit covers both ICU & Non-ICU stay up to the balance sum insured for that policy year.
  2. Daily Hospital Cash – Accident: In case the insured is hospitalized due to accidental bodily injury or any illness arising out of the accidental bodily injury for more than 24 hours, daily hospital cash – accident – as mentioned in the policy schedule – shall be payable per event up to 30 days. The insurer covers both ICU & Non-ICU stay under this benefit up to the balance sum insured for that policy year.

Liberty Group Hospi-Cash Connect Policy Optional Cover

Under this policy, the employer can choose any of the following optional covers individually or for the entire group as specified in the policy.

Double Accident Benefit: The insurer will pay the double accident benefit if the insured is hospitalized due to accidental bodily injury or any illness/sickness caused by accidental bodily injury for more than 3 consecutive completed days. This benefit shall be payable for every completed 24 hours of hospitalization up to 30 days for both ICU & Non-ICU stay.

Note: If the insured claims this benefit, nothing shall be payable in respect of Hospital Cash benefit or Daily Hospital Cash- Accident for that policy year.

Double ICU Benefit – Sickness: If the insured is admitted to ICU due to any illness which is not related to accidental bodily injury for more than 24 hours, daily hospital cash shall double and payable up to 30 days per event.

Note: If the insured claims this benefit, nothing shall be payable in respect of Hospital Cash benefit or Daily Hospital Cash- Accident for that policy year.

Double ICU Benefit – Accident: In case the insured is admitted to ICU due to accidental bodily injury or any illness arising from accidental bodily injury for a continuous period of more than 24 hours, the Daily Hospital Cash Benefit or Daily Hospital Cash – Accident shall double and payable up to 30 days per event.

Note: If the insured claims this benefit, nothing shall be payable in respect of Hospital Cash benefit or Daily Hospital Cash- Accident for that policy year.

Recovery Benefit: The insurer will pay a lump sum amount in case the insured is hospitalized due to any illness or accidental bodily injury for more than 15 consecutive days. Recovery benefit shall be payable in addition to Daily Hospital Cash Benefit.

Convalescence Benefit: If two or more family members of the insured are covered under Liberty Group Hospi-Cash Connect Policy and are hospitalized due to an accident for at least a week, a one-time lump sum shall be payable individually to all the members hospitalized due to the same accident. Convalescence benefit shall be paid in addition to the base cover or any other optional covers.

Special Care on Listed Minor Surgeries: The insurer will pay up to INR 50,000 for the following medical treatments if they are necessitated due to any illness or accidental injury during the policy term, and this benefit shall be payable in addition to Daily Hospital Cash Benefit or any other lump sum benefits

  1. Removal of Appendix
  2. Removal of Renal Calculi
  3. Haemorrhoidectomy
  4. Removal of Gall Stone/Gall Bladder
  5. All types of Hernia repair
  6. Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy(TURP)

Special Care on Listed Major Surgeries: If the insured is hospitalized due to an illness or accidental injury and he/she needs to undergo a major surgical procedure as listed below –

  1. CABG- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting
  2. Angioplasty – PTCA
  3. Brain surgery including Craniotomy, tumor removal and
  4. intracranial drainage
  5. Major organ transplant (Heart, Lung, Liver, Pancreas, kidney)
  6. Bone marrow transplant Surgery
  7. Post-traumatic Surgeries including Skull fracture, amputation
  8. of upper and/or lower limb, pelvis fracture/hip fracture,
  9. compound comminuted fracture of any part where ORIF is
  10. required.
  11. Knee replacement (traumatic/septic arthritis, severe
  12. irreparable knee Injury)
  13. Knee ligament surgery -trauma related
  14. Hip replacement (traumatic hip Injury- both partial and total)
  15. Spinal surgeries
  16. Heart valve replacement
  17. Surgery of Aorta
  18. Thyroidectomy

Then the insurer will pay a one-time lump sum paramount in addition to Daily Hospital Cash Benefit or any other lump sum benefit. The payment under this benefit is subject to a maximum of INR 2,00,000.

Restore Benefit: In case the sum insured is exhausted due to claims in a policy year, for that particular policy year, the sum insured will be restored. The total restored sum insured shall not exceed the selected sum insured for that policy year as specified in the policy schedule.

Note: Any unutilized restored sum insured amount cannot be carried forward to any subsequent policy year.

Double Critical Illness Benefit: Under this optional cover, the insurer shall cover the following critical illnesses

  1. Cancer of specified severity
  2. Kidney Failure requiring regular Dialysis
  3. Multiple Sclerosis with persisting symptoms
  4. Major Organ/Bone marrow Transplant
  5. Open Heart Valve Replacement/Repair of Heart Valves
  6. Open Chest Coronary Artery Bypass Graft
  7. Stroke resulting in permanent symptoms
  8. Permanent Paralysis of Limbs
  9. First Heart Attack of specified Severity
  10. Benign Brain Tumor
  11. Parkinson’s Disease
  12. Alzheimer’s Disease
  13. End-Stage Liver Disease
  14. Surgery of Aorta
  15. Major Burns
  16. Loss of Speech
  17. Deafness
  18. Coma of specified severity

The daily Hospital cash benefit, as specified in the policy schedule, shall be doubled and payable to the insured if they receive treatment in respect of any of the above-mentioned critical illnesses as in-patent. Double Critical Illness Benefit commences after a waiting period of 90 days and is available only once during the policy term, provided the insured is diagnosed with the critical illness for the first time.

Note: If the insured claims Double Critical Illness Benefit, nothing shall be payable in respect of Daily Hospital Cash benefit or Daily Hospital Cash- Accident for that policy year. 

Day Care Procedure Cash: In case the insured is hospitalized as an in-patient in a Hospital (for less than 24 hours) or daycare center for any of the below-listed procedures

  1. Cataract
  2. Dilatation and Curettage
  3. Lithotripsy
  4. Manipulation for Dislocation under General Anesthesia
  5. Cystoscopy

The insurer will pay Daycare Procedure Cash up as specified in the policy schedule.

Wellness & Assistance Program: The insured members will get the following services under this optional cover:

  1. Medical consultation, evaluation and referral to evaluate, troubleshoot and make immediate recommendations to qualified doctors and hospitals.
  2. Medical monitoring and case management service to monitor appropriate levels of care and relay necessary and legally permissible information to the insured members
  3. Emergency medical evacuation to the nearest facility for medical care
  4. Compassionate visit in case the insured is hospitalized for more than seven consecutive days

Special Care: With this optional coverage, the employer can get a fully recharged policy without any duration limit.

Special Limits: By opting for this cover, the employer can select a lower Daily Hospital Cash Benefit. The minimum daily hospital cash limit can be 0.5% of the sum insured.
