Let’s Discuss the Features of Care Health Group Care Plan in Detail

Care Health Group Care Plan can be suitable for a group of employees as it provides comprehensive benefits. It comes with two options – Plan 1 and Plan 2. We are discussing all the features below. Please check!

Wide Range of Sum Insured Options

This group health insurance plan offers a wide range of sum insured options to employees from which they can choose according to their convenience. The minimum sum insured stands at INR 50,000, while it can go up to INR 10 lakhs.

In-patient Hospitalization Coverage

This plan covers in-patient hospitalization expenses in case insured members need to get hospitalized (for a minimum of 24 hours). The coverage will be up to the chosen sum insured for both Plan 1 and 2.

Day Care Treatment

If an insured member under the Care Health Group Care Plan needs to undergo a day care treatment, this plan will provide coverage for the same, up to the chosen sum insured limit for both Plan 1 and 2 options. Day care treatments do not require a minimum 24-hour hospitalization due to advancements in medical treatment.

Room Rent and ICU Expenses Coverage

With this plan, you will also get coverage against expenses incurred on hospital room rent and Intensive Care Unit (ICU) up to a sub-limit of the overall sum insured. With Plan 1, the coverage will be 1% and 2% of the sum insured for room rent and ICU, respectively. On the other hand, with Plan 2, you can get coverage up to 2% and 4% of the sum insured, respectively.

Note: If the insured person is taking admission in a hospital room where the room rent expenses go higher than the specified limit, he/she will have to bear the extra amount.

Pre and Post-Hospitalization Expenses Coverage

For both Plan 1 and 2, insured members can get covered against the expenses incurred before and after hospitalization. The coverage period will be 30 days before and 60 days after hospitalization.

No Waiting Period on Critical Illnesses Coverage

If an insured member is diagnosed with a critical illness, he or she will get coverage right from Day 1 as there is no waiting period for the same.

Domestic Road Ambulance

If an insured member under the group needs to be transported to the nearby hospital via ambulance, this plan will cover the expenses incurred towards domestic road ambulance. The coverage amount can be up to INR 1,000 and INR 2,500 for Plan 1 and 2, respectively.

Maternity and Delivery-related Expenses Coverage

Care Health Group Care Plan also covers the maternity and childbirth-related expenses for both normal and LSCS delivery. However, the benefit is available for only the first two children. Pre and Post-Natal Expenses Coverage

For a period of 30 days, insured members can get coverage for pre and post-natal (before and after childbirth) expenses up to INR 2,500 and INR 5,000 for Plan 1 and 2, respectively. This coverage amount will be a part of the overall maternity limit.

No Pre-Policy Medical Screening

Insured members don’t need to undergo any pre-acceptance medical screening before getting the benefits of the Care Health Group Care Plan.
