Two-wheeler owners may consider getting their lapsed insurance policy renewed either through the online or offline mode. The online mode is, however, preferred owing to the hassle-free and easy nature of its process and added convenience.

Online Mode

Renewing your 2 wheeler insurance policy online involves the following necessary steps. They are:-

Step 1: Details are required during policy renewal too. It is important that you keep the documents of your previous policies and registration number of your 2 wheeler vehicle ready. In case if you are opting to pay for add-on covers too while renewing the policy, you would be required to submit these details.

Step 2: Log on to the website of your insurance service provider.

Step 3: Enter the details of the plan you wish to buy.

Step 4: Make the necessary payment using your Debit/Credit card. You may also resort to the NEFT method to complete your transaction.

Once done, your insurance provider will mail the soft copy of the renewed policy at the email if you have submitted during registration.

Offline Mode

Some people are averse to online transactions. They prefer renewing the policy through the age-old traditional method of approaching the office of the insurance company. While going to get the policy renewed, it is important to carry necessary documents associated with policy renewal. Post submission of the documents, the insurer initiates the review process. As your previous 2 wheeler insurance policy has already relapsed, your vehicle would be subject to inspection before issuing the renewed policy.
